Can you help?

We are gathering together as many photos as we can of the railways that once ran through County Donegal – the CDRJC, the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway, and the Great Northern Railway (Ireland)’s branch to Bundoran and route from Strabane to Derry.

Do you have any?

We are interested in borrowing any photos – traditional railway views, postcards, holiday snaps, family groups – anything that shows some aspect of the old railways.

Loaned to us, we scan them in and save them on computer disk and return the originals to you by recorded post. If you give permission we may then use them in our future publications, properly credited to you of course. If you'd rather we didn’t reproduce them, or wish to charge a fee, then we'd still like to borrow your photos to have them on file and help in our ongoing research. You could also scan them yourself and send us an email of them if you like.

If you have anything suitable please write with details to:
